"The Walsh Gallery at Seton Hall University is pleased announce the exhibition, “Uncommon Threads,” a group exhibition of contemporary art which explores the potential of fabric as an artistic medium.  The show highlights work which defies common conceptions surrounding fiber art, which is traditionally perceived as a craft medium.  Artists working at the intersection of art and design illustrate the ways in which fabric is being used to claim a place in the realm of conventional studio arts such as sculpture and painting."
